Birdathon is a unique way to enjoy our spectacular natural wealth in avian biodiversity by combining birding and fundraising for Portland Audubon Society (and doing it by bike is twice the fun). Birdathon works like a walk-a-thon: this year over 300 "birdathoners" will collect pledges for finding and counting bird species. Anyone can participate: expert birders, casual birdwatchers and beginners too. We all come together in this competitive and educational event to enjoy Oregon's birds and raise funds for the Audubon Society of Portland. Description/Route: This bird and bike ride will start and return at the Columbia Blvd. Wastewater Treatment Plant Trailhead going to Kelley Point Park and back. |
